Super 88

I found this Assam fish paste selling at Super 88 supermarket. I just need to add onions, lady fingers, and tomatoes and some water.

I also discovered this Indomee brand of instant noodles, Made in Indonesia. There are a few flavours, but this Chicken Rendang is especially nice. Just that the serving is too little for hungry person.

Discover new place

Last weekend i went to a Korean Supermarket that a friend recomended. Its called H-mart and its located at Burlington, MA. They sell Korean foodstuffs and some other countries goodies. The place is not that big. But there are a few other small shops inside the building. There is a shop inside that sells all the cute Hello Kitty accessories and other brands. There is also a small food court and a bakery shop. By the way, the bakey shop looks similar to Breadtalk back home.
Here are some of the interesting things that i bought.

This fish cake is very delicious and crispy when u pan fry it. Everyone loves it in my family.

I discovered this Marinated Beef in one section. You just have to cooked it on a frying pan or on a electric grill. Both methods are equally good. I didnt have an electric grill, so i just pan fry it with some chopped onions.

This Japanese Curry sauce was on sale, so i bought it without hesitation.

I suddenly missed eating prawn crackers, fry it yourself. So i bought it to try.

Guess what? Im surprised to know that this Hello Panda biscuit is made in singapore!

Homemade sushi

I just improvise the whole sushi making method using my own idea. I first use the local rice here. I cooked it with chicken broth. Adding more broth to the rice will make the rice soft and sticky. Next i took out the nori and place it on a flat plate, then i place the rice on the edge of the nori, spread a layer of mayonise on top of it, add different ingredents like crabstick, cheese and ham. As i didnt have the bamboo to roll the sushi,i just roll it myself. Once it is rolled, i gently picked it up and place it on the chopping board and slice it into many parts. That's my sushi!

Homemade Crepes

Today i had some free time, so i decided to try and some crepes on my own for the family.

Here are the ingredients.

1 cup flour
2 eggs beaten
1 teaspoon oil
water
a dash of salt

First i put flour into a mixing bowl, add water and stir until you get a smooth texture. Then add the beaten eggs in and mix the mixture together. Add 1 teaspoon oil into the mixture and a dash of salt.

Heat up frying pan, make sure its hot. Then use a ladle and scoop the mixture and pour it on the heated pan. Turn the pan around until the mixture is evenly spread. Once the crepe is not sticking to the pan, its time to toss over to another side to cook.

Once you toss it over, put the ingredients you desire onto one edge of the crepe. Then fold the crepe into half, then to a triangluar shape. Flip over the triangular shape crepe, let it cook for about 10 seconds, then its ready to eat.

Fisher Price - Grow with me trike

My husband recently bought this grow with me trike for the kids to cycle, and i find the quality quite good. The colours are not too bright, not too dull. For the price of $30 USD, its a really good buy. This trike is for age 2- 5 years old. The seats can be adjusted nearer to the front or the back, depending on how tall your child is. There are also paddle blocks for easy foot to paddle adjustment. It makes it easier for my child to reach the paddle. So until she gets taller, then we will just remove the paddle block, she can still continue to use the trike. You wont have to waste money buying another trike so soon. It can last a few more years. This product is suitable for both boys are girls.

There is one drawback about the trike is, if you are just planning to use it only at home, the wheels do not go well on carpet flooring. Its spins better on ceramic flooring or the pavement outside.
